Four months ago I had a large acne cyst on my nose that had to be removed by a dermatologist, who said that there should be no resulting scar. Unfortunately, I was still left with a large, raised reddish-purple scar that has not shown signs of fading since. What would be the best surgical method of removal and how much would it cost? Once again, it is only one scar. Thanks for your help!
I’ve recently gotten my breakouts to stop, making my acne scars more visible. I can mostly cover them up with makeup but i’d rather just get rid of the scars. So if I used regular scar removing cream (like the stuff you can get at a drug store) would it help to remove (or lighten) my scars?
By the way I used tree oil mixed with witch hazel, it got rid of my breakouts within a few days.
We dye our hair and realize our forehead and ears and neck are now the same color as our hair dye and it is NOT coming off with simple rubbing. Now the easiest way to remove hair dye from skin is to not let it happen and take preventative measures to avoid this catastrophe. When we get our hair dyed professionally, the stylist will usually put a long string of cotton around our entire head, covering our forehead, ears and neck. This, along with a bit of Vaseline or lotion applied anywhere our hair meets our skin will prevent any staining you may get from the dye itself.
Nail polish remover can be useful to remove hair dye stains but it should only be used in small areas, and only away from the eyes. To try it, soak a small ball of cotton on nail polish remover and rub the area a few times. Make sure you keep a window open when trying this, as the fumes can be strong.
Cigarette ash and shampoo. Well, now you can say that cigarettes have a purpose. Cigarette ash when mixed with shampoo and rubbed on the skin stained with hair dye can remove the stain immediately. A lot of people swear by this treatment and have tried it many times – nothing else works for them.
Take a soft cloth, wrap it around your index finger and dip the tip of your finger into the remnant hair dye. Now rub this into the stain around your face or the stains on your neck or ears. Don’t use a lot! Yes, color removes color, or, hair dye removes hair dye. You will actually see the stain coming off. Now, before it dries rinse it off thoroughly. An ultra-thin color deposit may remain on your skin, but it will quickly and easily come off in the shower while you wash your hair and face.
Check toothpaste. Toothpaste is a home remedy for so many things including removing dye stains as well. Get an toothbrush you no longer use and damp the bristles with warm water. Put a small portion of toothpaste on stained skin and scrub the toothbrush against it (not too rough). If you see a darker color on the toothbrush, the stain is starting to come off.
This is a home remedy that is said to work well for some people. Simply mix equal parts of baking soda with dishwashing liquid. Apply this mixture to a damp washcloth, and rinse off the baking soda and dishwashing liquid along with the dye. Dishwashing liquid that contains lemon is said to be the best choice.
