Effective Treatments For Acne

Exfoliation

Exfoliating should be done periodically and is the best solution for treatment. There are two types of exfolitation

  1. Mechanical Method
  2. Chemical Method

Mechanical Method:

It employs some device to rub and remove the upper layers of the skin.

Chemical Method:

This involves using chemical solutions that would dissolve and clean the dead skin cells. After this treatment, fresh skin cells grow to replace the older cells. This layer would be very young, radiant and free.

Control Gels

This method is used by most of the persons and it is recommended by most of the dermatalogists. These gels will supply micronutrients to the upper layers of the skin and at the same time it would dissolve the dead skin cells. These creams are not advised for use during day time because these can expose the inner layers of face skin which when exposed to skin can get sun burnt.

Abrasion

Periodic skin abrasion is yet another treatment which can keep under control. This is also a way for treatment. In this process, a mechanical brush would be used to wipe out the dead layer of skin. This is a painful process and is usually associated with bleeding. Anesthesia might be administered for these . Once the outer layer is removed, the wounds produced by rubbing would begin to heel. This process would take at least a month. The new layer produced would be free.

Others

Other methods that are available for treatment are “Benzoyl peroxide and sulfur which would be taken for particular cases.
